St Martins Property Group have started work on their 60,000-sq ft office scheme, Sapphire House, fronting Kings Road and Watlington Street, Reading.
Clad in blue glass, the building will have a water feature, atrium and wall climber lifts. It has been designed by Chapman & Hanson, with Burke & Collins. The £7.4m building contract has been let to Sunley Project.
Sunley are developing 32 flats plus restaurant space fronting the river next to these offices.
The offices should be ready by autumn 1987. Agents are Fare-brother and Buckell & Ballard. Rents have not been quoted.
