St Modwen has submitted an outline planning application for a mixed-use development at the former Ministry of Defence site in Hilton, south Derbyshire.
The application follows a public consultation in November, during which local residents were given the opportunity to provide feedback on the proposals for the site.
The redevelopment will create a mixed-use settlement by regenerating the area, which currently contains a mix of industrial and open storage. Plans include up to 485 homes, more than 215,000 sq ft of employment space and a new primary school.
A planning decision is due in the spring. The development will be phased over a 10-year period.
