St Modwen has been granted planning for a further 669 homes at its Kingsgrove scheme.
The outline consent will add to the 227-acre new community, which lies 15 miles south of Oxford near the market town of Wantage.
When complete, Kingsgrove is expected to provide more than 1,500 homes, a park, sports facilities, public open spaces, community allotments, a new primary school and shops.
The new outline consent follows the expiry of the original outline consent and allows for the development of up to 669 residential units and a neighbourhood centre, along with associated infrastructure and open spaces. Approximately 243 of the new homes will be allocated as affordable housing.
Planning lead Carter Jonas has also secured reserved matters planning consent on behalf of LSP Developments for a local centre, which will form an integral part of the new development, with a nursery, shops and parking.
