St Modwen submits Longbridge expansion

Developer St Modwen has submitted five planning applications aimed at delivering the next phase of the Longbridge regeneration.

The applications centre around the release of three residential development sites, along with road infrastructure and site preparation works.

Two sites at Lickey Road and Low Hill Lane will provide 400 new apartments and houses, along with affordable homes to rent and buy through shared equity.

St Modwen senior residential surveyor David Dodge said: “New homes at Longbridge have already proved extremely popular, all properties are now sold in the first two phases of our Park View development.

“Not only are we delivering high-quality physical regeneration but with a construction cost estimate of almost £50m we will be supporting the creation of around another 160 full-time construction jobs per year over the lifetime of the sites. In addition to this, we have committed to provide construction training places on each and every phase of the residential development.”
