DIY company Screwfix has signed for a 62,000 sq ft headquarters that will anchor St Modwen’s £12m extension of its Houndstone Business Park, Yeovil.
In addition to building the offices for Screwfix. St Modwen will develop 30,000 sq ft of industrial space and refurbish a 35,000 sq ft warehouse. This new accommodation and warehouse will be available to let or for purchase.
Rupert Joseland of St Modwen said the deal was a continuation of the relationship with Screwfix Direct, for which St Modwen had previously developed a major distribution hub at Trentham Lakes, Stoke-on-Trent.
Screwfix Direct’s new building will replace three existing office buildings in the Somerset town.
