St Modwen has revealed plans for its proposed Hednesford Gateway scheme in Cannock Chase, Staffordshire.
The £50m scheme forms a key role in bringing forward the wider regeneration of Hednesford town centre.
The scheme will be built in phases and anchored by an 80,000 sq ft food store, which is believed to have been taken by Tesco, alongside 48,000 sq ft of non-food retail, a 17,500 sq ft discount food store, community facilities and a 648-space car park.
Work will start on site for the food store in 2010, subject to planning consent being secured by the end of this year.
