St Modwen has been granted planning consent for a £20m facility for electronics firm Siemens at Teal Park, Lincolnshire.
The 235,000 sq ft scheme will include 75,000 sq ft of offices, 84,000 sq ft of workshop space and 54,000 sq ft of warehouse space, plus testing facilities.
Siemens signed a prelet with St Modwen in June on a 12-year lease.
Construction is expected to start this month for completion by the end of 2012.
Siemens director Neil Corner said: “Our decision to move to Teal Park confirms our commitment to the City of Lincoln, to our customers and employees, and will provide a brand-new state-of-the-art facility for our gas turbine service business.”
Will Martin, senior planner from Drivers Jonas Deloitte, which advised St Modwen on planning, said: “The scheme will not only be one of the ‘greenest’ manufacturing buildings in the UK, it will secure employment, and aims to achieve sustainable growth in the region, as well as further cementing Lincolnshire’s offering in the manufacturing sector.”
