Stadia kicks off South East football ground roll-out

Stadia Management is planning to develop five non-league football grounds in the South East, to be funded by Royal Bank of Scotland.

Stadia will redevelop or build a new stadium at no cost to the football clubs and will share profits with the club derived from hotels, leisure and commercial developments also built on site.

The first club to be signed up by Stadia is Billericay FC in Essex. A £14.2m project is planned to include a stadium at Gloucester Park, near Basildon alongside an 80-bedroom hotel.

Four other sites are being sought around the M25 for similar schemes.

Architect for the programme is Bain & Bevington.
