FINANCE: Standard Life Investments Property Income Trust has recorded a 2% decline in net asset value over the financial year ended 31 December 2014.
The net asset value return for the year was 23.2%, down from 25.2% a year earlier.
The company’s share price rose by 11.9% to 78.3p, while share price total return fell by 10.4 percentage points, from 29.2% to 18.8%.
The REIT bought 12 properties for a total of £94.2m, and sold four properties for £20.7m, raising £65.9m of new equity over the year.
The company said: “As a result of the solid performance of the company, the board was able to increase the quarterly dividend in May 2014 by 2.5%. Overall, performance was ahead of the most commonly accepted benchmarks.”
