Stanhope launches charity arm to help vulnerable people into work

Stanhope has launched a charity arm designed to increase vulnerable and young Londoners’ chances of getting a job.

The property developer has joined forces with three charities – Maggie’s, St Mungo’s and the Prince’s Trust – to form the Stanhope Foundation, which will raise money for employability schemes.

The foundation, which has been set up as a direct response to the “severe impact” of the pandemic, has pledged a six-figure annual donation to its charity partners.

Stanhope boss David Camp said: “For over three decades, Stanhope has developed and created places and spaces in London to allow communities to work, live, grow and thrive.

“The pandemic has had an absolutely devastating effect on these communities, especially when it comes to employment and we need to support them as much as we can, particularly those who are most at risk.”
