Stanhope signs for King’s Quarter

Stanhope and Gloucester city council has signed an agreement to deliver a £60m shopping centre scheme.

The King’s Quarter development will provide 200,000 sq ft of shops, including an anchor store, more than 30 shop and restaurants, new public realm, squares and a new bus station.

Martyn Chase, director at Stanhope, said: “On the back of the positive progress on the scheme to date, this agreement will enable us to move forward with confidence, and we look forward to developing our ideas with the local community, retailers and other key city stakeholders to ensure that King’s Quarter further enhances the city.”

DTZ advised Stanhope; CBRE acted for the council.
