Starbucks is opening a new store inside the CLR James Library in E8.
The coffee house chain has agreed a 15-year lease with Hackney council for the store, paying rent of £30,000 per year.
Located on the corner of Dalston Lane, the new Starbucks will be next to a large regeneration scheme where 600 new homes will be built.
Starbucks was not represented; Richard Susskind & Company advised Hackney council.
The company has around 700 stores and is planning to open 100 more by 2017, as well as 200 drive-through outlets.
