Starbucks plots drive-through expansion

Coffee maker Starbucks is to open 200 drive-through outlets over the next five years.

The bulk of the roadside outlets will be operated by Euro Garages, predominantly in the Midlands and north of England.

In addition, Starbucks said it planned to open around 100 high-street stores during the five-year expansion plan.

The firm has around 700 UK stores. It has nine drive-throughs which it began trialling in 2008.
