Cyril Stein, former Ladbroke boss, has denied he is selling the St James’s Club, off Piccadilly.
He spent £3m refurbishing it when he bought it from Queens Moat Houses in 1994 for £6m.
He said he was keen to develop a chain of St James’s Clubs.
