Stoford’s Dudley retail scheme approved

Dudley-Retail-THUMBBirmingham-based developer Stoford Developments has won consent for a new town centre retail scheme in Dudley, West Midlands.

The £5m development comprises a Greene King pub, a Kentucky Fried Chicken drive-thru restaurant and a Costa Coffee at the Castlegate Business Park. The site is owned by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and is located off the Birmingham Road.

A fourth unit is due to be built speculatively.

Work will start on site next month, with completion by summer 2016.

Existing tenants at the business park include Frankie and Benny’s, Pizza Hut and Showcase Cinema.

This is Stoford’s third development at the park, after building a 63-bedroom Premier Inn last year, and a two-storey office scheme for the Staffordshire and West Midlands Probation Trust.
