PwC has appointed Avison Young to sell the former home of pottery maker Dudson in Stoke-on-Trent.
Joint administrators Matthew Hammond and Ross Connock are selling the freehold to the 9.4-acre site, expecting offers in the area of £3m.
The 290,000 sq ft industrial complex was the former home to the ceramics giant, which fell into administration earlier this year following a decline in sales.
Family-run Dudson, founded in 1800, made fine china, glassware and tableware, with operations in France, Australia and the US.
Chris Davies, associate at Avison Young, said: “This is a highly prominent site, fronting the A50 and a short distance from Tunstall town centre. There remains a shortage of freehold industrial premises as well as development sites of this nature across the region.
“The property presents a rare opportunity to acquire a substantial landholding in a central location and it is likely to appeal to a range of end-users, with early interest already having been received.”
