The Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation is looking to sell a 1.9-acre development site in Hammersmith & Fulham, W5, for upwards of £50m.
The 233-home site is adjacent to Fulham Broadway and Chelsea Football Club’s Stamford Bridge stadium. Stoll has appointed Knight Frank to seek offers for the freehold site, which is being offered on a subject-to-planning basis that could provide up to 233 homes.
Stoll is a century-old charity that provides affordable, high-quality housing and support services to veterans living in West London and across the UK.
It is retaining a portion of the land to provide a smaller and improved site for veterans while also enhancing the services it provides to beneficiaries across the UK. This section of the site includes a listed building that fronts Fulham Road.
Richard Gammage, chief executive at Stoll, said: “Our absolute priority is, and always has been, the wellbeing of our beneficiaries. Sadly, many of the buildings on our Fulham site were built more than a century ago and will require major upgrades to meet future regulations.
“Without the projected investment from the sale of part of the Fulham site it will simply not be feasible to provide the quality of accommodation and services we want to continue to offer and that our nation’s finest deserve.”
