M&G Real Estate has appointed Matthew Stone as head of long income real estate. He replaces Steffan Francis, who retired earlier this year.
Stone, former group property director at Kingfisher, will lead M&G Real Estate’s pan-European long income team, which sources assets for the company’s institutional long lease funds.
Before joining Kingfisher, Stone was head of EMEA corporate finance at Cushman & Wakefield and a board director at Nelson Bakewell
Tony Brown, chief investment officer at M&G Real Estate, said: “Matthew’s appointment is evidence of the importance we are placing on M&G Real Estate’s long income franchise.
“Matthew is an expert in both UK and continental European real estate, and he joins our highly-regarded team at a time when we are attracting significant new capital to our European product range.”
