Store Twenty One goes into liquidation

Discount fashion retailer Store Twenty One has gone into compulsory liquidation, with Simon Bonney, Carl Jackson and Paul Zalkin of Quantuma appointed to manage the process.

The company had failed to raise further funding from State Bank of India, and failed to meet a deadline set by HM Revenue and Customs.

As a result, Store Twenty One’s remaining 122 shops will close. A number of stores had already closed after it filed for a company voluntary arrangement in the middle of last year.
