Strettons bolsters investment advisory

Strettons has hired Rapleys investment partner Jonny Doulton to help build its investment advisory division.

Doulton joins Strettons as investment director and will be tasked with growing the firm’s investment business, providing advice to new and existing clients.

Doulton, who has advised on more than £1.5bn of deals during his 15-year career, said: “Strettons has long-established credentials in some very buoyant occupational markets across the industrial and office sectors, particularly in east and north London. Strettons’ strength in these areas will undoubtedly present complementary opportunities for our investor clients and for Strettons itself. I am excited about the opportunities this will create for the firm and enhancing investment value.”

Strettons managing director Simon Tilsiter said he was “thrilled” that the firm would now be able to offer an enhanced investment advisory service to clients for both disposal and acquisition work.

“In some respects, this will be the missing piece of the jigsaw in terms of our overall offering and will further enhance the portfolio of services we provide to our clients,” he said. “Jonny brings with him a wealth of contacts and experience across a wide variety of sectors, including industrial, office, retail, automotive, PRS, student, leisure and hotel, where he has advised a variety of pension fund, financial institutions, property companies and high-net-worth individuals. We are excited to add his investment expertise to the existing market- leading talent within our company.”

Strettons recently advised Reynolds Catering Supplies on the £43.8m sale-and-leaseback of its logistics unit in Waltham Cross to LondonMetric.
