Strettons has been appointed as joint agent with Belcor to lease 100,000 sq ft of commercial space at Wickside, a new mixed-use development on Fish Island in Hackney Wick, E3.
The company has been involved in Wickside from inception to completion, having originally advised on the sale of the site in 2014 on behalf of a private client.
The scheme, which extends to some 8.4 acres, is being developed by Galliard Homes and O’Shea Group with completion expected in spring 2026. The development comprises 475 homes and more than 100,000 sq ft of commercial space and will be the largest development on Fish Island.
Working alongside Belcor, Strettons has been instructed to identify tenants from the creative and digital sectors for the space.
Strettons director Neal Matthews said the agent had come “full circle” on the project.
He added: “We expect that Wickside will be the final large site to be developed and it is really interesting to see how Hackney Wick has evolved over the past ten and more years.”
