A shop in Islington, north London, with three flats above it was the leading attraction at Strettons’ October auction.
The freehold property sold for just shy of £1.1m off a guide of £990,000, taking the auction’s total to £12.8m. The auction had a 74% success rate.
Other lots included a freehold vacant garage site in Hayes with planning permission for two houses, which sold for double its guide price at £406,000, and a former guest house in Falmouth, Cornwall, which sold for £630,000.
Strettons director and auctioneer Andrew Brown said: “Income-producing properties and those with development potential all performed well on the day, and I am pleased with the prices achieved for our clients.”
