Haslington Hall, a Grade I listed country house dating from the 15th century and set in 14 acres of land, is one of the lots to be included in Strettons’ July auction.
With a guide price of just £250,000, the property, located near Crewe in Cheshire, comes with three ancillary buildings – including stables and a building used as an office – and its own lake.
The timber-framed manor house is believed to include wood salvaged from ships taking part in the Spanish Armada in 1588.
The property, which was owned until 2005 by dairy magnate Tony Vernon, the founder of Murray Vernon, has until recently been used as a wedding venue but was damaged by fire in 2018.
The auction will take place on 16 July at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms, Great Queen Street, London WC2. It will comprise 73 properties located across the UK.
