Empiric Student Property has named Peel Hunt as its joint corporate broker and financial adviser.
The corporate finance house will work alongside Jefferies in the role, and will replace RBC Capital Markets, which was appointed broker in 2020.
Jefferies has acted as broker and adviser to the company since 2014.
Corporate brokers act as a listed company’s link with its institutional investors and the wider public markets, advising on share issues and other aspects of listed life.
They will often then be in a position to win mandates on larger transactions such as mergers and acquisitions.
