Study into likelihood of Boscastle flood repeat

A computer-aided study of the pattern of the Boscastle flood is being used to estimate the likelihood of a repeat of the August disaster.

The flood was originally thought to be a freak but it is now thought likely that floods might occur more often than previously thought.

The Daily Telegraph says that if the study which the Environment Agency is due to publish next month concludes another big flood could strike within the next century, it would have considerable implications for future planning and for insurance.
