Success rate upheld at Auction House Leeds

Auction House Leeds maintained its 80% success rate at its 9 June sale at Elland Road stadium.

The total closed at £2m after 22 out of 29 properties were sold.

The firm has achieved a success rate at or above 80% at each of its four sales this year.

Competitive bidding on a number of lots pushed prices well above reserves.

Final bids on a detached 1930s house in east Leeds, which was guided at £50,000-£70,000, closed at £125,500.

A four-bedroom home, in need of complete renovation, in Batley, West Yorkshire, sold for £190,000 off a guide of £120,000-£150,000.

Auctioneer David Pank said: “The attendances at our auction rooms in Leeds are continuing to go from strength to strength.

“This sale provided us with a fantastic result, and the fierce competition on certain lots even took us by surprise.”
