Suffolk county council has entered into a renewed contractual agreement for the promotion of its land to the north of Sudbury.
The site known as Chilton Woods has been allocated in the council’s local plan for a mix of residential and employment uses.
Developer Redrow Group, which already controls part of the allocated site, intends to submit a comprehensive planning application for the project in late 2011.
It is hoped that development might start on site in 2012/2013, with the developer having a 15-year option to develop out part of the county council’s land.
Drivers Jonas Deloitte and Forsters LLP advised the Sulfolk on the renewed contract.
