A collection of fashion retailers and investors including Primark and River Island are lining up to buy parts of Philip Green’s Arcadia empire.
Some 40 parties have registered an interest in the auction of Arcadia’s brands with Deloitte.
High up the list of potential bidders is Authentic Brands, the American fashion and investment group whose businesses including Juicy Couture.
Others include Frasers Group, Marks & Spencer, Next and Boohoo while Associated British Foods, the owner of Primark, is also understood to have received the information memorandum.
Analysts have said some ‘bidders’ are actually just taking the opportunity to have a peek at Arcadia’s books.
Opcapita, Fortress, Apollo and Elliott Management are among the financial suitors believed to be interested.
