Summerfield Developments has submitted plans for a £50m business park on 7.28ha (18 acres) at Chelston House Farm, which is by Junction 26 of the M5 near Wellington, Somerset.
Chelston has already built on 8.9ha (22 acres) of the 12.14ha (30 acre) Chelston Business Park which adjoins the Chelston House Farm site. ” We’re running out of space which is why we’re going for this scheme,” explained a spokeswoman for Summerfield.
Summerfield intends to develop the site as mixed use space on a speculative basis. The land is currently owned by a local farmer.
A decision on the scheme is expected within the next two months. As yet, no agents have been appointed.
