Summit goes for green peak

Summit-House-EC2-570

Threadneedle Investments-led Low Carbon Workplace has submitted plans for an 80,000 sq ft overhaul of Summit House, EC2, in east London’s growing tech hub.

The Astudio-designed proposals for a comprehensive redevelopment of the 57,000 sq ft Wilson Street office also take in the adjacent Grade II listed Georgian building at 46 Worship Street, EC2.

The BREEAM-excellent designs include a two-storey rooftop extension aimed at attracting TMT occupiers and a portion of affordable offices targeted at start-up businesses.

Low Carbon Workplace is a partnership between fund manger Threadneedle, developer Stanhope and the Carbon Trust. It was established to design, build and manage offices for organisations committed to eco-friendly operations.
