Summix Capital and Evolve Estates have been granted planning permission for 211 build-to-rent homes in Bournemouth.
The partners received approval on 20 May from Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council’s planning committee.
Plans will see a 12-storey building constructed on land adjacent to Richmond Gardens Car Park. Last year, Summix and Evolve also received approval for 625 student beds in a mixed-use scheme of between 7 and 15 storeys. The student plans were refused at committee and approved by appeal in February.
Stuart Black, development director at Summix Capital, said: “Build-to-rent accommodation is ideally suited to this site given its town centre location and close proximity to a range of employers, helping to meet an identified need for new homes in Bournemouth.”
