The head of a body charged with advising the government on choice of the UK’s first supercasino reasserted his independence at a public hearing yesterday.
Referring to the bid for a casino at the Millennium Dome, Professor Crow, chairman of the Casino Advisory Panel, said: “John Prescott has played no part in our appointments or in setting up the process. We are objective, and it’s plain wrong to suggest otherwise.”
