Surrey county council and Reigate and Banstead borough council have launched a 15-acre residential development opportunity on Chetwode Road, Tadworth, Surrey.
The former De Burgh School playing field site sits within the wider Preston Estate, an area identified for regeneration as part of Reigate and Banstead council’s community plan and core strategy.
The site is made up of two freeholds, with the larger playing field being sold on behalf of Surrey council and the smaller Marbles Pond site on behalf of Reigate and Banstead.
Both sites have resolutions to grant outline planning permission subject to Section 106 Agreements, with a proposal for a total of 186 homes with 45 affordable.
Knight Frank associate Daniel Ward said: “The De Burgh Playing Field site is strategically important to the regeneration of the Preston Estate. It will be the largest single development in the area and is a fantastic opportunity for a housebuilder or regional developer to deliver a high-quality scheme.”
Knight Frank is advising on the sale.
