Andrew Sutherland, joint managing director of Miller Developments, has been appointed vice chairman of the Scottish Property Federation.Sutherland has more than 30 years’ experience in the development industry and is a chartered civil engineer by trade.
He is responsible for the expansion and strategic direction of Miller Develooments, which has a portfolio of £2bn.
His previous responsibilities include overseeing the projects at Edinburgh Park and Edinburgh Quay, as well as the 575-acre Omega project in Warrington where 3m sq ft of logistics space has been developed in the past three years.
He is also responsible for Birmingham’s Arena Central, a 1.2m sq ft scheme that will provide a 280,000 sq ft office for HSBC. Arena Central will complete next year.
