The Sunderland-based Swallow hotel group has appointed George Greener as its new non-executive chairman.
He is a former chief executive of Hillsdown and is also chairman of British Waterways. He replaces Sir Paul Nicholson, who resigned in March in protest after an unsuccessful attempt to sell the company’s old Vaux breweries to a management buyout team led by his brother.
