Swiss fibre tech firm finds home at MEPC’s Milton Park

Swiss firm Kistler will become a new occupier at MEPC’s Milton Park in Didcot, Oxfordshire, having signed up for a new workspace to develop its optical fibre sensitive technology.

Kistler will join a community of 270 companies based at the park, including green energy firm Tokamak and tech innovator Nexeon.

The firm’s fibre tech division will span across 1,379 sq ft of research and development facility, which will allow it to further develop products in the areas of electrified drive technology, autonomous driving, emissions reduction and industry 4.0.

Clare Fleet, commercial surveyor at MEPC, said: “Milton Park’s single-ownership model and streamlined 10-day planning process enables the park to be an incubator, providing occupiers with the opportunity to scale up quickly in support of their growth journeys.”

Michael Summers, research and development team leader at Kistler Fiber Technology, said: “The excellent access to the A34 and rail links to London and proximity to the highly skilled workforce in and around Oxford were a major factor in the choice to locate our research and development centre at Milton Park.”
