The Switch House – the extension to the Tate Modern – is due to have its public opening on Friday.
The 10-storey tower was designed by Swiss architects Herzog & De Meuron and increases the area available for displays by 60%.
The extension, costing £260m, is linked by a bridge to the original building and provides a 360° panorama from its roof terrace.
