The Sylvia Young Theatre School, which counts Billie Piper among its successful graduates, is moving to new premises in London’s Marylebone.
The school, advised by NB Real Estate, has bought the 75-year long leasehold to 1 Nutford Place, W1, from the Portman Estates for £6.5m.
The 16,000 sq ft building was formerly occupied by the Eleventh Church of Christ Scientist, and the school will use a further 15,000 sq ft of space within the building’s existing auditorium.
The theatre school will relocate from its existing premises in Rossmore Road, NW1, during the next academic year.
Wright & Partners acted for the Portman Estate.
