The world’s thinnest tall building and tallest moving observation tower is set to open in Brighton today.
British Airways i360 stands 531 ft high on the site of the city’s former West Pier.
The tower was designed and part funded by the husband-and-wife team of David Marks and Julia Barfield who were also behind the London Eye.
The mixed-use scheme is expected to support 2,500 jobs once complete
The site holds hybrid planning consent for 1,493 homes, 475 hotel beds and 31,000 sq ft of commercial space
