The Wildlife Trust for Berkshire has signed up Tarmac Quarry Products(Southern) as its latest corporate member, perhaps in recognition of thefirmsenvironmentally restored gravel workings at Lower Farm near Newbury, butdespite the fact that concrete for the Newbury bypass is being supplied byTarmac Topmix.
This follows Tarmac Constructions entry in January into the WorldwideFund for Natures 1995 Plus Group, who commit to using timber fromcertifiedwell-managed forests.
