Tarmac Richardson signs up Allied Domecq for Cardiff Bay leisure complex

Tarmac Richardson is understood to have signed up Allied Domecq as operator of a 2,043 sq m (22,000 sq ft) nightclub at its £30m Atlantic Wharf leisure complex in Cardiff Bay, south Wales.

The licensed leisure operator will join UCI, which is opening a 12-screen, 4,830 sq m (52,000 sq ft), multiplex cinema in August, and Hollywood Bowl, which will be running a 26-lane bowling alley. UCI is paying between £139 – 150 per sq m (£13 – 14 per sq ft) for the cinema unit.

Two other units, providing 2,415 sq m (26,000 sq ft) in total, are also under offer to licensed leisure operators. A 464 sq m (5,000 sq ft) restaurant unit is believed to be under offer to a wine bar operator.
