Tata Technologies has unveiled its new £16m European headquarters building in Warwick.

The global engineering services firm said the investment represented its commitment to the UK and was an essential component in its continued growth strategy. The West Midlands is widely regarded as a hub for technological and innovative engineering in the UK.

The scheme is to be developed by local property investment and development company AC Lloyd.

Around 600 Tata staff, including design engineers and programme managers, will operate from the new building. The HQ will house Tata’s engineering support services, as well as a modern R&D centre specialising in the automotive, aerospace and industrial machinery sectors.

The consented scheme will be built on a 3.8-acre site at Tachbrook Park. The firm hopes to relocate into the new building in the second half of 2016.

Nick Sale, chief operating officer at Tata Technologies Europe, said: “These new headquarters showcase our ambition to continue to grow and expand Tata Technologies’ operations in the UK and Europe. The development marks an exciting new chapter in the company’s support of engineering excellence across the region.”
