Comedian and television presenter Griff Rhys Jones has said that he would rather move to ‘a massive palace’ abroad than pay a mansion tax.
In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Rhys Jones said that the ‘colossal’ tax would unfairly hit people whose homes had appreciated in value, but could ill afford the £300 to £30,000 annual bill.
He currently lives in a property in Fitzrovia, London, which he restored 15 years ago.
