Taylor Wimpey is to develop 114 new homes in Mill Hill, Barnet after acquiring a plot of land at a former barracks.
The housebuilder bought the 4.9-acre plot at Millbrook Park from the Inglis Consortium – a partnership between St Modwen, Vinci, Annington Property and the London Borough of Barnet.
The sale is the fifth phase in the transformation of the former RAF Inglis Barracks in Mill Hill. It has an overall outline planning consent for 2,174 new homes as well as a primary school, a GP surgery, local shops, a district energy centre and almost 14.8 acres of open spaces with a new public park.
Taylor Wimpey is among the developers that have already completed houses in the first phase of the scheme.
Rob Barton, land director at St Modwen, said: “We are pleased that, following Taylor Wimpey’s successful development in the first phase, that it has invested further in Millbrook Park to deliver more quality new homes.”
