Taylor Woodrow is to cut 10%-20% of its construction division workforce as part of its shift towards focusing on housing and property.
It is amalgamating its UK building and civil businesses and it is pulling out of process engineering.
Expression of interest have already been received for Birtley Engineering, its materials handling division, in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. It is closing an office in Stafford.
