Taylor Woodrow embroiled in marina tree-cutting row

Tower Hamlets is busy looking through its paperwork after Taylor Woodrow cut down 10 trees at St Katharine Docks, allegedly without permission

The area is a conservation zone and the work needs permission but the London council says it has not been able to locate any such application.

Taylor Woodrow said the trees were water-logged and would be replaced. It said the tree work was covered in the sale agreement and there was no need to seek permission from the council.
