Town Centre Securities has submitted plans to Manchester council to build a 91-flat tower in the city centre, reaching 11 storeys, as the long-awaited next phase of a wider masterplan for the area.
Ian Simpson Architects has submitted the plans, which include one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.
It will constitute a revival of the Piccadilly Basin masterplan, which has not seen a phase built since 2008.
The developer said the scheme would work in tandem with the city’s plans for HS2, which include a major regeneration of the Piccadilly area and a new station.
