TCS gets go-ahead for next phase of Piccadilly Basin

Town Centre Securities has been given the go-ahead for the next phase of its £250m Piccadilly Basin regeneration project in central Manchester.

Retail Village, Piccadilly Basin

Last week, the developer was awarded consent for its 230,000 sq ft Retail Village – the third phase of the Ian Simpson Architects-designed scheme.

The Retail Village comprises 40,300 sq ft of shops, 4,200 sq ft of offices, and 207 flats.

Work has already begun on the 31,500 sq ft first phase, which will provide an HQ for BDP Architects.

Phase two – the 87,500 sq ft Eider House – is being developed speculatively.

Cushman & Wakefield and Lambert Smith Hampton have been appointed joint letting agents; Knight Frank is marketing the flats.
