Teather & Greenwood is sceptical a bid for Dobbies will emerge from Sir Tom Hunter above £12.75 a share.
The garden centre chain’s freeholds are widely believed to be a major attraction to the property entrepreneur who has amassed an 8% stake.
Dobbies, which announced its full-year results yesterday, said there was more room for potential acquisitions and creation of new stores on new sites.
