Technology company signs for Cambridge park

Technology company Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR) has let St John’s House at St John’s Innovation Park in the biggest commercial office letting in Cambridge this year.

The 33,700 sq ft building, on the city’s northern approach from the A14, was previously let to Cambridge tech companies, Ionica and Zeus.

Details of the deal are not available.

Nicola Godfrey of Carter Jonas commented: “St John’s House is a great building in all senses size-wise and style-wise.

“We always believed its distinctive design and award winning features were going to be best appreciated through single occupancy and we held out to achieve this.

Ben Green of Cheffins, said: “With larger office buildings now becoming a scarcity in Cambridge, we are delighted to have acquired such a prominent building on behalf of our clients.

“The building offers a good working environment and is within close proximity to CSR’s existing offices at Cambridge Business Park and Cambridge Science Park.”

Carter Jonas acted for St John’s College; Cheffins acted for CSR.
